Getting started
Open your first AliasMode profile.
Install the Windows app, sign in to Cloud or continue locally, pick a browser engine, create a profile, and confirm the isolated browser opens with the expected settings.
1. Install AliasMode
Download the current Windows installer from the AliasMode release page. Check the version and SHA-256 shown on the download page before running the installer. Windows may show SmartScreen guidance for the unsigned beta.
2. Choose a browser engine
AliasMode includes two engines, and you choose one per profile. AliasMode Firefox is our own open-source antidetect engine. Chromium profiles run in CloakBrowser, a third-party engine included at no extra cost. AliasMode downloads and verifies the engine for you.
3. Sign in or continue locally
AliasMode opens on the Cloud sign-in screen. Create a free account, enter the 6-digit code we email you, and AliasMode signs you in. Cloud synchronizes portable profiles across your computers and lets you invite workspace members. To work on one computer without an AliasMode account or Cloud connection, select Continue locally instead. You can switch modes later in Settings.
4. Create and open a profile
Create a profile, give it a clear name, select browser and screen settings, and assign a proxy if the workflow needs one. Open the profile and confirm a dedicated browser window appears. Close it from AliasMode when the task ends.
- Expected result: the profile shows as active while its browser is open
- The same profile retains cookies and session state across approved launches
- A different profile starts from its own persistent data directory
