This notice explains what data AliasMode (developed and operated by the Xreacher team) handles for the website, the desktop application (“the app”), and the AliasMode Cloud synchronization service (“AliasMode Cloud”).
What we do not do
- The website uses no cookies, no third-party trackers, and no browsing analytics by default.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not show ads and do not build advertising profiles.
- We do not log the websites or pages you visit.
Local mode
Local mode keeps profile data on the computer that uses it and sends no traffic to AliasMode Cloud. We do not collect Local profile data. The browser can still contact websites, proxy servers, DNS and GeoIP services, and update sources as part of normal browsing and setup.
Cloud mode
Cloud uses a verified email address and password for your account and gives each account one workspace with owner and member roles. Cloud synchronizes encrypted portable profiles and keeps a local cache for active work. Workspaces include device revocation, trash for deleted profiles, version checks, and concurrent-open warnings.
Website measurement (optional)
The website has measurement off by default. A production deployment may enable same-origin, daily aggregate pageview and CTA counts. It records only a structural page group, CTA type, destination product, a finite known source category or an unattributed category when the browser hides the referrer, and explicit UTM source, medium, and campaign codes. It uses no cookies, persistent IDs, page trails, raw URLs or queries, raw referrer URLs or domains, IP addresses, user-agent data, timestamps, profile data, fingerprinting, ads, or session replay.
App analytics
App analytics are opt-in. We collect app analytics only when you explicitly enable them, and Local profile data is not included.
Retention
- Cloud account data: retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, remaining data is securely deleted within 30 days.
- Profiles in trash: retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
- Support, feedback, and donation correspondence: retained for up to 24 months to help you and to run the project.
- Security reports: retained for up to 12 months after resolution.
- Aggregate measurement counts: retained for no longer than 12 months.
- Local data: not retained by us; it stays on your computer.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. Access is limited to what is needed to operate and secure the service, and any service provider that helps operate AliasMode is expected to handle data consistently with this notice.
Security
Cloud encrypts portable profiles, supports device revocation, and provides workspace controls. See the Security page for the architecture.
Your choices and rights
In the app you can manage workspace members and devices, restore or delete profiles from trash, and request account deletion. For questions or requests, email support@aliasmode.com.
Children
AliasMode is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes and versions
If we change this notice we publish a new version. Current version: v3 (effective August 26, 2026).
